Notice is hereby given that the Hamblen County Commission, at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting to be held  May 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Hamblen County Courthouse, will fill the vacancy for the District 9 Seat on the Hamblen County Board of Commissioners.  Any registered voter of the County shall be allowed to submit names in writing to the chairman prior to the meeting or in person to the County Legislative Body at the meeting for consideration to fill this office.  In order for a submitted name to be considered, a member of the Board of Commissioners must subsequently nominate the person.  If such person whose name is submitted by registered voter is not present at the meeting, the person making the nomination shall submit a signed statement from the nominee that the nominee is willing to serve in the position if appointed.  All nominees must be residents of the 9th District of Hamblen County, Tennessee.
