County Garbage Collection for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday

The Hamblen County Garbage Department will observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 19th, 2026.

Normal Collection Day Make-Up Collection Day
Monday, January 19, 2026 Tuesday, January 20, 2026

If your normal collection day is Monday, January 19th please place your garbage and recyclables at your normal location by 6:00am on Tuesday, January 20th and leave there until it is collected.

Please place all cans with the handle toward the house and at least 4 feet from any obstacles, including recycling or other garbage cans.
