Morristown, TN – May 15, 2026 – Hamblen County Emergency Communications (9-1-1) is announcing the launch of new telephone numbers dedicated exclusively to administrative calls, nonemergency inquiries, and alarm company reporting. This change is part of the center’s ongoing effort to improve service efficiency and ensure that emergency lines remain available for life-threatening situations.

Effective June 1, 2026, the new telephone numbers will be:

Administrative Number = 423-616-0852

This number should be used for:

  • General questions about 9-1-1 services
  • Non-urgent communications with center staff
  • Records requests
  • Administrative matters not requiring emergency response

Non-Emergency Dispatch Number = 423-616-0855

This number should be used for:

  • Requests for the dispatch of law enforcement, fire service, or an ambulance for a non- emergency situation
  • Reporting of a non-emergency incident
  • Non-emergency communications with dispatch staff
  • Public safety matters not requiring emergency response

Alarm Company Reporting Number = 423-616-0861

This number should be used for:

  • Alarm company notifications and testing
  • If your residence or business has a monitored alarm system – such as a fire alarm or burglary alarm – or if you have a medical devise that sends an alarm when you have an emergency, NOTIFY YOUR ALARM COMPANY THAT THIS IS THE NUMBER THEY NEED TO  USE TO CONTACT 9-1-1 WHEN AN ALARM IS ACTIVATED

The public is reminded that 9-1-1 remains the number to call for any police, fire, or medical emergency. Keeping emergency lines free ensures that callers experiencing urgent, life-threatening situations can reach help without delay.
