Hamblen County is hiring a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair, and construction of all county-owned facilities. This leadership role ensures efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality facility management.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate all facility maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, grounds)
• Coordinate and oversee construction and renovation projects.
• Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff and manage contractors/vendors
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and prioritize work.
• Maintain budgets, materials, and project records.
• Enforce OSHA/TOSHA safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies and remain on-call as needed.

Qualifications
• High school diploma (or equivalent) + 5 years of supervisory experience in construction/maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and safety regulations
• Leadership, organization, and decision-making skills • Ability to read blueprints and manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing
• Strong leadership skills

Required Certifications/Licenses
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license
• HVAC & Freon Recovery Certification
• NIMS 100 & 700
• TCI Correctional Officer Certification (or ability to obtain)

Work Environment
• Ability to perform heavy work, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• 40 hours + on-call for emergencies
