NOTICE TO FILL VACANCY FOR THE DISTRICT 3 SEAT ON HAMBLEN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

Notice is hereby given that the Hamblen County Commissioners, at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting to be held May 24, 2018 at 5 pm in the Hamblen County Courthouse, will fill one (1) vacancy for the District 3 seat on the Hamblen County Board of County Commissioners. Any registered voter of the County shall be allowed to submit names in writing to the chairman prior to the meeting or in person to the County Legislative Body at the meeting for consideration to fill this office. In order for a submitted name to be considered a member of the board of Commissioners must subsequently nominate the person. If such person whose name is submitted by registered voter is not present at the meeting, the person making the nomination shall submit a signed statement from the nominee that the nominee is willing to serve in the position if appointed. All nominees must be residents of the 3rd District of Hamblen County.

BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING NOTICE

The Budget Committee of the Hamblen County Legislative Body will meet to discuss the budget for Fiscal Year 2018/2019 on May 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 and June 5, 2018. Meetings will begin at 4:00 p.m. and are located in the Large Courtroom of Hamblen County Courthouse located at 511 W. 2nd North St. Morristown, TN.

SPECIAL CALLED COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

The Hamblen County Legislative Body will vote on the following Fiscal Year 2018/2019 Budget Resolutions during a special called meeting of the Hamblen County Commission at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018. The meeting will take place in the large courtroom of the Hamblen County Courthouse: ·Resolution 18-16 Fixing the Tax Levy in Hamblen County, Tennessee for Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019 ·Resolution 18-17 Making Appropriations for the Various Funds, Departments, Institutions, Offices and Agencies of Hamblen County, Tennessee for the Year Beginning July 1, 2018 and Ending June 30, 2019 ·Resolution 18-18 Making Appropriations to Nonprofit, Charitable and Civic Organizations of Hamblen County, Tennessee for the Year Beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019
